5 Senses of Fall

1.See
Bring the colors of fall into your decor and wardrobe.  You don't have to go all out, but a splash of crimson, orange, or (my favorite!) this year's oh-so-popular mustard yellow will do the trick.  To incorporate these colors easily and on the cheap, focus on accessories.  Perhaps some red throw pillows tossed on the couch.  Or mustard accessories (a vase, several books, a blanket) strewn around the room. Fashion-wise, how 'bout a bright orange scarf?  Stumped?  Glance out your window at the foliage for inspiration!

2. Smell
Candlelight cozies up a space.  And fall's scents are as delicious as fall baked goodies warm right outta the oven.  My personal favorite is Yankee Candle's Cinnamon and Sugar... but Yankee's Spiced Pumpkin, Apple Cider, and Autumn Wreath are all delightful, too.

3. Feel
When the temperature starts to drop, only the softest, coziest will do.  Before cranking up the heat, wrap yourself in fuzzy blankets and soft sweatshirts.

4. Taste
Pumpkin.  Pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, pumpkin bars, pumpkin pancakes, pumpkin spice latte, pumpkin spice cappuccino, pumpkin seeds... need I say more?  Didn't think so... ;)

5. Hear
Besides the wonderful sounds of rustling leaves in the strong fall breeze, 'tis always the season for discovering new music.  Check out Matt Costa and Milos Karadaglic, two artists I'm definitely digging this autumn.
