Happy Black Friday, lovelies!  I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving and had good luck if you chose to brave the shopping crowds.  (Black Friday shopping is not my cuppa tea... so I spent the day chilling at my grandma's house and hanging with the fam.)

For you, I have a Black Friday treat!

My Diva's Closet specializes in affordable clubwear and lingerie--with something for every personality and fashion taste.  They have an especially fabulous selection of affordable jewelry.  So when My Diva's Closet offered me my choice of a necklace to review, how could I resist?  First of all, let me tell you how difficult this task was.  Sooo many necklaces, such a difficult decision!  I found myself drooling over a glittery phoenix necklace and antique key necklace--but ultimately went with the pretty swan necklace with crystals because it reminded me of my childhood fondness for The Swan Princess.  And hey, thanks to Black Swan... swans are in, right? ;)

I was super excited to receive my swan necklace.  It's a unique piece (you don't see swans on necklaces everyday!) and I love where it falls on my neck.  I've definitely gotten a lot of compliments on it.

Here's the great part for you:  My Diva's Closet is giving away another necklace!  One lucky Lovely Undergrad reader can win any one necklace up to $30 in value from this collection.  How perfect of timing is this?  If you win, you could pick the necklace out for a Christmas gift for your sister, roomie, bff... or just give it to yourself!

Okay... now for the rules:

2. Leave a comment on this post sharing which necklace you would pick if you win.

3. Include your email address in the comment.  Entries without an email address will not qualify.  (I need an email address to contact the winner!)

4. This giveaway is open to readers in the 48 contiguous states.

5. You have until 11:59 pm, Friday December 9, 2011 to enter!

6. A winner will be selected using Random.org and announced the following weekend (December 10 or 11)

Can't wait to hear which necklaces you end up smitten with!

Good luck!

I liked it on Facebook. I never heard of that site before and I am in love with it now, so thanks! lol I looked through the necklaces and instantly fell in love with Clock Pendant. It reminded me of Alice in Wonderland which is a story very close to my heart for personal reasons and past struggles. Then I saw the other jewelry having to do with Alice and it made sense haha. I would wear that necklace everyday and it would have a real personal meaning to me. 'Time' is something that I think about a lot and is something that I remind myself I have plenty of so I can get through the tough times. It's beautiful. My email address is Amazziingxal@aim.com

DIY Cat Barrier for Under $100 (See-Through, Climb-Proof, and Too-Tall-To-Jump)

ICYMI: I gave up Cotton after deciding that after trying so many things, my two adopted cats Dahlia and Cotton were just never going to get along. Long story short: I missed her. And Cotton's back. And Dahlia's not going anywhere. My heart is big enough to keep trying. And my apartment is big enough that if I need to keep them separated long term (or permanently), it can be done.
I'm going to write-up a separate post about some of the solutions I've tried, how they worked, who they worked on, and what I'll be trying next. But in this post, I wanted to share the main 'piece de resistance' of having both cats in my apartment: an un-climbable, un-jumpable, see-through barrier to separate Cotton and Dahlia.

Aria's Room | Pretty Little Liars Decor

Welcome back for LU's 2nd room in the PLL series!  Today you're getting a glimpse into my favorite room on the show... Aria's room.  Aria Montgomery is the artistic, imaginative, bookworm of the bunch.  So it's no surprise that her room has an artsy, historic, romantic eclecticism atmosphere.  Plus, it's full of books.  My two words for Aria's attic space: Vintage Eclectic.  (Those happen to be my two favorite decorating words... so brace yourself for my soon-to-come swooning.)

Pencil It In | Working the Pencil Skirt into Your Work Attire, Including 25 Examples with Do's and Don'ts

Starting this week, every Wednesday on The Lovely Side will be devoted to wardrobe, hair, and beauty content.  With summer internships right around the corner and interviews for real world jobs looming as well, I thought now would be a good time to delve into the world of office fashion.
Sarah, a reader, recently emailed me asking about how to style a pencil skirt for her "somewhat casual, somewhat professional workplace full of fashionable co-workers."  She's been lusting after pencil skirts at several stores, but been hesitant to purchase one for fear of looking bad in it and not knowing what to wear with it.
