Above: Marie Antoinette (Diane Kruger) shares an embrace with her friend the Duchesse de Polignac (Virginie Ledoyen).
The new film, titled "Farewell, My Queen" is Chantal Thomas' novel. It centers around Sidonie Laborde (played by Lea Seydoux), a reader to the queen.
I'm swooning over the costumes and set...
Gorgeous, no?
Thanks to Lumiere for these stills! And to Tea at Trianon for pointing me toward the post on Playlist.
Psssst! Love Marie Antoinette decor as much as I do? Check out one of my early decor boards, inspired by none other than Marie Antoinette herself!

Oh I just loved Diane Kruger in National Treasure! I'm sure she'll be great in this one too!:)
Shelby, I totally forgot that was Diane in National Treasure. I loved her in that, too!
Diane Kruger was amazing as Helen of Troy- I'm sure she'll do an equally fabulous job as Marie Antoinette! Can't wait:)
Thank you for the link! I am looking forward to seeing the film, too!!!

I can't wait to see this one :) I'm fascinated with Marie Antoinette as well! I'm still getting used to Diane Kruger as Marie, but I'm sure she'll do a great job. And I love the costumes in the pictures you posted. They're so beautiful!
