Back in March of 2009, I scavenged the internet for dorm decorating sites to aid me in turning my drab dorm space into something comfy, cozy, and pretty. Nothing spectacular sprang up. There was truly a gaping chasm on the internet where dorm decorating should be. I didn't come up completely empty handed. Lots of design blogs and sites struck my fancy, but none of them were targeted at college students. I decided to take matters into my own hands...
So I started Lovely Undergrad to keep track of all the lovely photos, diy projects, and decor ideas that I came across as I planned for my own dorm.
Today LU has built a dorm decorating niche on the web that provides affordable options, creative projects, and inspiring ideas for turning dorms and apartments into comfortable, functional, and beautiful living spaces.
