TGIF: Late morning coffee and a fun blog tag.

(above image via: here.)

Happy Friday, darlings! Oh, what a week it has been. I was so busy with work and end-of-term school papers and tests. I have a final on Tuesday and then a two-week long break before my summer online courses begin. Today is my one day off this entire week---no school or work! What shall I do? Well I slept in 'til 10:30 and am currently enjoying a cup of coffee. I think I'll get around, grab some lunch, visit my grandma, and perhaps do a little bit of shopping. ;) And then I'll get to see my wonderful bf tonight.

Then tomorrow it's back to work. But I reeeeally like my job...so I don't mind. :)

Oh, and I was tagged by the lovely Aury to do this short, sweet survey. So here it goes...

Rules:
List 3 things that you would want on a deserted island if there was food and water.
List 5 of your favorite novels of all time.
Tag 3 other bloggers.

3 things I'd want on a deserted island if there was food and water:
1. My bf. Not only would he be good company and keep me laughing, but he's good at all things manly. So I'm pretty sure that he'd know how to build a shelter, make a fire, and do other survivor-ly things.
2. Sunscreen. And lots of it. ;)
3. A good book. (One that I don't mind reading over and over again.)

5 of my favorite novels of all time:
1. Abundance
2. Pilate's Wife
3. The Royal Physician's Visit
4. Water for Elephants
5. Harem
(that was really hard!! I have so many favorite books.)

3 other bloggers who should do this survey.
1. Jesse @ Just Flew the Coop
2. Luinae @ More Magic Always
3. Elaine @ Glow in the Dark Soul

You should also check out Aury's beautiful blog: An Ordinary Girl's World: Fashion, Love, Life.

DIY Cat Barrier for Under $100 (See-Through, Climb-Proof, and Too-Tall-To-Jump)

ICYMI: I gave up Cotton after deciding that after trying so many things, my two adopted cats Dahlia and Cotton were just never going to get along. Long story short: I missed her. And Cotton's back. And Dahlia's not going anywhere. My heart is big enough to keep trying. And my apartment is big enough that if I need to keep them separated long term (or permanently), it can be done.
I'm going to write-up a separate post about some of the solutions I've tried, how they worked, who they worked on, and what I'll be trying next. But in this post, I wanted to share the main 'piece de resistance' of having both cats in my apartment: an un-climbable, un-jumpable, see-through barrier to separate Cotton and Dahlia.

Aria's Room | Pretty Little Liars Decor

Welcome back for LU's 2nd room in the PLL series!  Today you're getting a glimpse into my favorite room on the show... Aria's room.  Aria Montgomery is the artistic, imaginative, bookworm of the bunch.  So it's no surprise that her room has an artsy, historic, romantic eclecticism atmosphere.  Plus, it's full of books.  My two words for Aria's attic space: Vintage Eclectic.  (Those happen to be my two favorite decorating words... so brace yourself for my soon-to-come swooning.)

Penny's Apartment | Big Bang Theory

Aniela, a lovely reader from Germany, sent me an email requesting advice on recreating the style of Penny's apartment on Big Bang Theory.
