Fall Decor Giveaway

It's October! Autumn has settled upon us in its crisp, golden beauty. Leaves are changing. Jackets are coming out of the closet. There are tests to take and study dates to make. So in all of this fall academia-mania, it's all-to-easy to let your living quarters fall by the wayside. You may find yourself coming and going, but you still deserve a lovely space to come home to. And what makes a space cozy, comfy, and lovely for autumn months?

Well, upholstered headboards (like above). Gorgeous curtains. Romantic lighting. Gilded mirrors. Soft rugs. And charming accessories.

So Lovely Undergrad has teamed up with CSN Stores to give one lucky LU reader a $20 gift certificate to spend in any of the 200+ online CSN Stores.

1. This giveaway is open to U.S. and Canada residents only. (Sorry, international readers!)

2. This giveaway is open from now until the end of October. Comments received after 11:59 pm on October 31, 2010 will not be counted.

3. On November 1, a winner will be randomly selected and contacted to receive the gift certificate.

To Enter:

1. For one entry, leave a comment with your name, valid e-mail address, and what you would like to put a $20 gift certificate toward.

2. For an additional entry, become a follower of Lovely Undergrad. (In the top of the right-hand column there's a box that says Lovely Undergrads, click "follow.")

3. For another entry, follow Lovely Undergrad on Twitter.

4. For yet another entry, become a fan of Lovely Undergrad on Facebook.

5. And for a final extra entry, post photos of your dorm/apartment/small space to the LU Flickr group. Or... blog about this giveaway on your own blog. Include the link in your comment so I can check it out. ;)

Note: Yes, you can receive up to five entries for this giveaway. Be sure to include a valid e-mail address with each entry. Entries without e-mail addresses will not be counted.

Good luck!

P.S. Do not comment on the CSN Facebook page as a means to enter the giveaway. Your entry will only be counted if it appears as a comment on this post. :)

Oh, yes ma'am, I am certainly a follower of yours. I remember the last CSN giveaway, I was so disappointed when I didn't win, but maybe this second chance will be the ticket for me to prance through Giveaway Land? Sadly, I've never been to Giveaway Land... but a girl can dream.

Speaking of dreams, I am having the most difficult time tearing myself away from them, lately, which is why I could really use the "That 70's Retro Alarm Clock" in red and cream. So adorable! I'm currently dressing up my bedroom in cheerful yellow and turquoise, white, and little splashes of red here and there. This would be the PERFECT adornment to my night stand!

I read your site all the time for tips on how to make my space much more beautiful.

I would use the $20 to buy my boyfriend a headboard for his bed. He talked about wanting one to start off his new life in his new apartment.

DIY Cat Barrier for Under $100 (See-Through, Climb-Proof, and Too-Tall-To-Jump)

ICYMI: I gave up Cotton after deciding that after trying so many things, my two adopted cats Dahlia and Cotton were just never going to get along. Long story short: I missed her. And Cotton's back. And Dahlia's not going anywhere. My heart is big enough to keep trying. And my apartment is big enough that if I need to keep them separated long term (or permanently), it can be done.
I'm going to write-up a separate post about some of the solutions I've tried, how they worked, who they worked on, and what I'll be trying next. But in this post, I wanted to share the main 'piece de resistance' of having both cats in my apartment: an un-climbable, un-jumpable, see-through barrier to separate Cotton and Dahlia.

Aria's Room | Pretty Little Liars Decor

Welcome back for LU's 2nd room in the PLL series!  Today you're getting a glimpse into my favorite room on the show... Aria's room.  Aria Montgomery is the artistic, imaginative, bookworm of the bunch.  So it's no surprise that her room has an artsy, historic, romantic eclecticism atmosphere.  Plus, it's full of books.  My two words for Aria's attic space: Vintage Eclectic.  (Those happen to be my two favorite decorating words... so brace yourself for my soon-to-come swooning.)

Pencil It In | Working the Pencil Skirt into Your Work Attire, Including 25 Examples with Do's and Don'ts

Starting this week, every Wednesday on The Lovely Side will be devoted to wardrobe, hair, and beauty content.  With summer internships right around the corner and interviews for real world jobs looming as well, I thought now would be a good time to delve into the world of office fashion.
Sarah, a reader, recently emailed me asking about how to style a pencil skirt for her "somewhat casual, somewhat professional workplace full of fashionable co-workers."  She's been lusting after pencil skirts at several stores, but been hesitant to purchase one for fear of looking bad in it and not knowing what to wear with it.
