I was sooo smitten with how last night's turquoise skeleton key turned out, that I just had to do a few more today. As much as I love turquoise and would wear it with anything, I'd love to have one of these necklaces in every color to match any outfit. ;)
So out came all the nail polish.
And the index cards.
And then some $3 jewelry chain from the craft store.
Side note: These babies'll look pretty as decor hung on the wall, too.
And for the heck of it... here's pics of the turquoise key I painted and wore last night.
(Just in case you missed the post.)
=) I love old keys!

what color of nail polish is the mint green? it's beautiful!
I love these keys! :) I like the turquoise one most! Unfortunately I don't have old keys. :( Very, very good!
Wow! These look really lovely!! Will run out and get some keys on the weekend and surprise my room mate when she gets back from holidays! (I'm always borrowing her jewellery! :-)
That's such a great idea! And the necklaces look so pretty! x
Love your blog and love this idea! I definitely need to find some keys so I can do this myself! :)
i have tons of these you can find them at almost any antique store! :p
Now the real question is, where'd you get the keys?
I was just wondering if you got ur keys from a craft store?
bella, I bought them from an antique store! :)
You can also find them at a locksmith. Yard sales and flea markets. You can also order them online, ebay, other sites just do keys.
