I love rainy fall days.  The petrichor.  And especially the sound of rain.  (Wishing you had that sound right now?  I often do.  Rainymood.com is just the fix.)

I never knew there was a name for that very distinct smell! I'm enjoying it today, too; love a rainy day.

I would always call it 'piso mojado' 'wet ground' in spanish. That smell always relaxes me. It's one of the 3 smells that can control my mood/emotions. I know weird.
