Desks can be tricky to decorate. Whether you're studying in a dorm, working from home, clocking in at the cubicle, or blogging from your bedroom, a desk needs to be functional as well as beautiful. But desk accessories that functional and beautiful, well... they're hard to come buy. Not anymore. Meet Poppin.
When I discovered Poppin, it was love at first sight. They're not just another office products company - they sell "workstyle products." Bright, bold colors. Sleek, stack-able designs. Clean, crisp lines. From notebooks and pens to desk accessories and fabulous file cabinets, Poppin has you covered - the great prices and low shipping is icing on the Poppin cake.
The good folks over at Poppin sent me over some products to spruce up my own desk. They just recently launched four new colors: Mint, Coral, Light Gray, and Navy. My gut instinct was to load up on the gorgeous mint, but since my work cubicle is light gray with bits of yellow, I decided to go with a mix-and-match of light gray, yellow, and that fun new coral thrown in.
I wanted to show how versatile these products are when it comes to fitting them into your decor. So rather than tote them off to the office right away, I let them live on the desk in my apartment's closet office for a couple days. They really added a pop of bright color to my cozy, dark little space with its dark gray desk and dark floral curtains. I almost just kept them there!
But my cubicle at work is desperate for some aesthetic attention and I haven't had time to decorate it. So I hauled the stack-able trays, tape dispenser, stapler, pens, and paper clips to the office to set up shop on my work desk. The light gray and yellow are spot-on for my cubicle's hues - and that coral adds the perfect splash of color that I was hoping for. I added a cute little bowl that (if you look closely) also features coral, yellow, and gray. The only thing that really doesn't match is my pink pencil cup. I think I'll spray paint it yellow to match everything else.
And Poppin is too much fun to just stop with decorating my desk. I created a few inspiration boards to show just how creative you can get with working Poppin into your work space:
