My historical fiction wish list has been growing for some time. But with summer do-it-yourself projects, weekend trips, and fun events, books weren't exactly part of my summer budget. I was scavenging my bookshelf to find something new to read. And then, I found Thrift Books.

This Before & After from Apartment Therapy popped up in my feed today and I just had to share. I think a huge misconception about decorating is that if you paint a small or awkward space white or cream, it will look larger and more spacious. That's not always the case.

One of my favorite things to do on the weekends is stroll the Czech Village -- specifically, the adorable antique shops there. One of my favorite vintage stores is The Copper Alligator. It's a go-to place for old suitcases, vintage clothing, and retro things. I always find something unique there.

My love for home goes beyond just interiors. Ever since I was little, I've entertained a sort of fascination with exteriors, too - specifically, types of houses. I had a 3D-Home Architect CD-ROM (do those even exist anymore?) that I'd "play" on for hours. I'd track down floor plans of Victorian Queen Annes, craftsman bungalows, and brownstone rowhouses. I'd "build" them in the 3D Home Architect program, then go on to add wall color, floor materials, and arrange furniture. I was obsessed.

I'm all about those bargains. Here's what I thrifted in the last couple weeks.

Chloe York works full-time at Memphis College of Art as the Community Education Associate and On-Site Manager. All of her free time is spent working on her paintings and promoting herself as an artist. And I'm so delighted that she's opened up her lovely space to share with us.
