$25 Gordmans Gift Card Giveaway | New Year, New Outfit (and a 20% coupon!) (Closed)

This giveaway is now closed.

Please stay tuned for future contests and giveaways.

Happy holidays, lovelies! I've partnered up with one of my favorite stores for another gift card giveaway. Gordmans provided me with two $25 gift cards - one for myself and one for a lucky reader - to spend on a closet revamp for 2015. (Click through to enter the giveaway and score a 20% OFF coupon.)

While I plan on spending Christmas in pajamas, sweatpants, and my coziest sweaters, I decided to put my $25 toward something a little glitzier. And with New Year's Eve coming soon, I deemed it the perfect excuse to splurge on a sparkly sweater. (Although really, nothing is a splurge at Gordmans.) I took my time browsing the store and came across several glittery options all $24.99 or under. I adored some sparkly blues, while some glittery reds caught my eye. I lingered over a copper-hued sweater, too. In the dressing room, I ultimately decided on a loose-fitting sweater with glistening silver threads woven throughout. (Bonus: I scored some red skinny jeans on clearance, too.)

I plan on going out for dinner and drinks with friends on New Year's Eve, so I put together a few outfit combinations for inspiration. I love the idea of an entirely black and silver ensemble - with a gold necklace and wine-hued lipstick. If I were going to something fancier, I think I'd spring for a pleated pink (or gray) skirt, ladylike flats, and some pale pink lipstick. A more casual gathering would call for a great pair of skinny jeans, cute ballet flats, some smokey eyes, and a pair of glasses. But I think I'm going to put those red skinny jeans to work with some gray booties, a statement necklace, and bright red lips. :)

For your chance to win a $25 Gordmans gift card to put toward your own sparkly sweater (or whatever other item your heart desires to add to your closet for the new year) use the giveaway widget below. There are several ways to enter and you can do them all!

And in the meantime, be sure to use the Gordmans 20% OFF coupon below to finish up your Christmas shopping or buy an outfit for your New Year's Eve festivities.

I'd probably get a cute dress!
I want to win because I really need the prize due to the fact that I have worked very hard the past 6 months and lost 40lbs. I stopped drinking soda and eating fatty foods, making better choices actually on what I eat. Also I am walking 2 miles every morning and doing 30 mins of cardio every afternoon. I'm adopting this way of life to stay thin and healthy!! Now the side effect of this weight loss is wonderful!! It's called self confidence...I am so proud of myself for accomplishing my goal. The bad side effect of my weight loss is that none of my clothes fit me any more!! So I'd spend this gift card on a new pair of jeans!

DIY Cat Barrier for Under $100 (See-Through, Climb-Proof, and Too-Tall-To-Jump)

ICYMI: I gave up Cotton after deciding that after trying so many things, my two adopted cats Dahlia and Cotton were just never going to get along. Long story short: I missed her. And Cotton's back. And Dahlia's not going anywhere. My heart is big enough to keep trying. And my apartment is big enough that if I need to keep them separated long term (or permanently), it can be done.
I'm going to write-up a separate post about some of the solutions I've tried, how they worked, who they worked on, and what I'll be trying next. But in this post, I wanted to share the main 'piece de resistance' of having both cats in my apartment: an un-climbable, un-jumpable, see-through barrier to separate Cotton and Dahlia.

Blair's Room | Gossip Girl Decor

Manhattan's debutante Blair Waldorf happens to be my favorite Gossip Girl character.  Her behavior and feelings vary from snobbish to sensitive, but she always (except for a few rare occasions) looks and acts totally pulled together.  Her luxurious bedroom is fit for a queen---and is as pulled together as her preppy fashion ensembles.
