Precious Style's Apartment | Glamorous & Girly, Crisp & Clean

I recently stumbled across Precious Style's blog and fell in love with her glamorous and girly yet crisp and clean style. With bright white walls, a mix of modern and vintage furniture, and some seriously feminine accents, it was a no-brainer to feature her fresh space here on the blog.

White slipcovers, white furniture, and white walls make the living room a bright and airy space - as well as a blank canvas for pops of pink, green, and gold. I love the combination of her curvy, shabby chic coffee table and clean-lined tv console.

Two long runners featuring a graphic gold pattern divide the space and call attention to the entry. More white abounds on the picture frames, ornate mirror, and eclectic entry table.

The dining area is so cheerful and perfect for entertaining. Again, white furniture and a cottagey dining set lend a crisp background for splashes of hot pink and orange. I adore the dark wood antique screen behind the dining buffet - it balances all the white and adds some aged, handsome character.

Her bedroom is my absolute favorite! (You can see how to get a similar look below.) An accent wall covered in gold and white damask wallpaper sets the stage for a dramatic space and furnishings: an ornate white headboard, curvy white nightstands, and a billowy, cloud-like comforter. And the Turkish rug on the floor brings in beautiful hues of pink, purple, and beige.

Vintage accents accessorize the nightstands, including a silver tray, vintage-inspired alarm clock, antique bottle with pink flowers, old books, and tiny framed artwork.

I narrowed it down to my favorite photos, but please head over to Precious Style for her full house tour. Her nursery and former office are adorable, plus you'll get to see close-ups of all the pretty corners of her home. Even her utility closet is lovely and decorated!

With a background in fashion design, Precious Style also offers interior design and event planning services. She sells pretty things through her Etsy shop, which is temporarily closed as she enjoys time with her newborn.

Now, here's how to get a Precious Style inspired look for your apartment bedroom:

DIY Cat Barrier for Under $100 (See-Through, Climb-Proof, and Too-Tall-To-Jump)

ICYMI: I gave up Cotton after deciding that after trying so many things, my two adopted cats Dahlia and Cotton were just never going to get along. Long story short: I missed her. And Cotton's back. And Dahlia's not going anywhere. My heart is big enough to keep trying. And my apartment is big enough that if I need to keep them separated long term (or permanently), it can be done.
I'm going to write-up a separate post about some of the solutions I've tried, how they worked, who they worked on, and what I'll be trying next. But in this post, I wanted to share the main 'piece de resistance' of having both cats in my apartment: an un-climbable, un-jumpable, see-through barrier to separate Cotton and Dahlia.

Blair's Room | Gossip Girl Decor

Manhattan's debutante Blair Waldorf happens to be my favorite Gossip Girl character.  Her behavior and feelings vary from snobbish to sensitive, but she always (except for a few rare occasions) looks and acts totally pulled together.  Her luxurious bedroom is fit for a queen---and is as pulled together as her preppy fashion ensembles.
