All the way from Italy, Daria wrote in to The Lovely Side asking for a little inspiration in recreating Zoe's room from Hart of Dixie. While I'm slightly familiar with the show, I've never watched it. And finding photos of Zoe's space was a bit of a challenge. However, I was able to whip up an inspiration board based on the above and below photos.
I'm guess Zoe's room isn't always such a mess! ;)
How would I describe my glimpse into Zoe's room? Class feminine meets crisp modern meets southern cottage chic. Here's how I recommend pulling off Zoe's bedroom style.
Blue Wallpaper: Search online or your local home improvement store for a wallpaper (or renter-friendly removable wallpaper) in a similar subtle geometric pattern and cobalt color. Or paint your walls that color of blue.
Upholstered Headboard: Not only are upholstered headboards widely available (try Target and Urban Outfitters), but if you're handy you could create your own for less by searching Pinterest for a DIY tutorial. A basic beige will do if you can't find the exact pattern, but you could also stencil or draw the pattern on.
Pastel Bedding: Mix and match your bed sheets in shades of buttery yellow and rosy pink. It looks like Zoe's comforter is beige with white polka dots, but a plain beige will do, too. Just add some beige and white patterned pillows to get the same look and feel.
Wall Art: I love that lattice-like metal cutout thing (is it a screen?) in Zoe's room, but that's probably expensive and difficult to come by. Instead, get the same style on a smaller scale with some metal cut-art wall art. Search thrift shops and online. If it's in the wrong color, you can always give it a nice coat of metallic spray paint.
White Nightstands: This is easy. Find two simple nightstands (they don't have to be the same) with clean lines and edges. Paint them both a bright, crisp white and replace hardware with something shiny, silver, and modern. The clean lines balance out the headboard's feminine curves.
Smoky Gray Curtains: I think you could find some smoky gray or blue sheers anywhere from a home decor store to Walmart or Target. These are versatile. You could even go with sheer whites to let more light in.
Glass Lamps: Those lamp bases I see in Zoe's apartment (glass base, round shapes, blueish tint) are everywhere right now. I've seen them online and in stores like Target. With such a glitzy lamp base, keep the shade simple... like solid beige, a light burlap, or even white.
Girly Accessories: There are lots of flowers around Zoe's bedroom. Bring in a vase of your own. Add in more feminine touches with things like small, pretty candles or a floral notebook on your nightstand. Store away clutter in light-hued wicker baskets.
Natural Toned Flooring: It appears that Zoe has light hardwood floors, but if you're not so lucky you can still get a similar look. Search online for rugs that look like wood planks. Or opt for a less expensive rug with white and beige stripes.

Hope this helps, Daria!
