Whether you've just settled into your dorm room or have moved into your final year of college, you're going to love this giveaway!

Redbubble is an online marketplace selling products featuring the creative work of artists and designers from all over the globe. From stylish totes and t-shirts to eye-catching wall art and bedding, what you'll find on Redbubble is beautifully designed and totally unique. In the shop full of over 11 million items from independent artists, you'll find something to express your individual personality, interests, and style. Plus, the prices are sooo affordable. (I want to fill my apartment walls with prints from Redbubble!)

Campus is definitely a place where you'll want to fly your one-of-a-kind flag. To help you stay true to your individuality when decorating your dorm or dressing for classes, Redbubble has curated a simple guide based on your major. From you "wild things" studying Environmental Science to the geek-chic Technology majors, check out affordable and beautiful products for your dorm in the Back-to-School Gear Guide here.

I love my Let's Read tote – pictured above at my work desk!
I couldn't resist having a little fun with the guide myself. I started as an English major and switched to Journalism, so I was immediately drawn to the Liberal Arts: Literature Lovers set. Redbubble was even kind enough to send me my own Let's Read Tote, designed by KBDoodles. It's now my go-to bag for toting stuff to and from the office each day. I love the little vintage gals reading their newspapers, books, and magazines.

I created two inspiration boards, one for my dorm (if I were to rewind to freshman year) and one for my campus carry-around bag. I incorporated items from Redbubble's Back-to-School Gear Guide as well as a couple other lovely items that spoke to me while browsing the marketplace.

My dorm as an English major would have a chic, historic feel that nods to Paris' La Belle Époque with some modern touches thrown in, too. I'd dress up my bed with this vintage inspired duvet cover, accent it with a typewriter pillow, and decor my wall with a Gatsby print. I'd stack my books high and decorate with vintage pieces like an old fan, antique typewriter, and vintage-inspired lamp. I'd read in bed, propped up against a luxurious tufted headboard. And I'd write at a fabulous black desk, sitting in a feminine chair.

Here's the products links to Redbubble:
The Great Gatsby Minimal Movie Poster - $8.53 / Designed by Chungkong
Vintage Paris French Typewriter Throw Pillow - $20.66 / Designed by Edward Fielding
La Grande Epoque Bed Duvet Cover - $97.87 / Designed by Frank Moth

As for going to class everyday, you'd catch me toting the Let's Read tote everywhere. Inside it, you'd find whatever classic novel I'd have my nose in (most likely Gone with the Wind) as well as a book-inspired wallet, glasses, a pen, and a notebook for jotting down ingenious novel ideas for my bestseller. Plus, my phone would wear the adorable cat and book case.

Here's the product links to Redbubble:
1. Let's Read Tote - $19.55 / Designed by KBDoodles
2. How to Chill Like a Cat Phone Case - $37.20 / Micklyn

DIY Cat Barrier for Under $100 (See-Through, Climb-Proof, and Too-Tall-To-Jump)

ICYMI: I gave up Cotton after deciding that after trying so many things, my two adopted cats Dahlia and Cotton were just never going to get along. Long story short: I missed her. And Cotton's back. And Dahlia's not going anywhere. My heart is big enough to keep trying. And my apartment is big enough that if I need to keep them separated long term (or permanently), it can be done.
I'm going to write-up a separate post about some of the solutions I've tried, how they worked, who they worked on, and what I'll be trying next. But in this post, I wanted to share the main 'piece de resistance' of having both cats in my apartment: an un-climbable, un-jumpable, see-through barrier to separate Cotton and Dahlia.

Pencil It In | Working the Pencil Skirt into Your Work Attire, Including 25 Examples with Do's and Don'ts

Starting this week, every Wednesday on The Lovely Side will be devoted to wardrobe, hair, and beauty content.  With summer internships right around the corner and interviews for real world jobs looming as well, I thought now would be a good time to delve into the world of office fashion.
Sarah, a reader, recently emailed me asking about how to style a pencil skirt for her "somewhat casual, somewhat professional workplace full of fashionable co-workers."  She's been lusting after pencil skirts at several stores, but been hesitant to purchase one for fear of looking bad in it and not knowing what to wear with it.

Aria's Room | Pretty Little Liars Decor

Welcome back for LU's 2nd room in the PLL series!  Today you're getting a glimpse into my favorite room on the show... Aria's room.  Aria Montgomery is the artistic, imaginative, bookworm of the bunch.  So it's no surprise that her room has an artsy, historic, romantic eclecticism atmosphere.  Plus, it's full of books.  My two words for Aria's attic space: Vintage Eclectic.  (Those happen to be my two favorite decorating words... so brace yourself for my soon-to-come swooning.)
