Way back in March, the lovely Anouk sent me photos of her bright, pretty dorm in the Netherlands. Shame on me that I'm just now getting around to posting it! So without further ado, let's take a small space tour of Anouk's dorm...
It's amazing what a difference a BIG window can make in a small dorm room. Also, those wood floors put all the tiled floors of my dorm's past to shame. The walls are white, but Anouk worked this to her advantage with crisp white furniture -- a mix of sleek, modern styles (nightstand, cubby holding the tv) and girlier, curvier pieces (the iron bed, bookcase with those lovely drawer pulls).
I spy a Wicked poster! My favorite musical, btw. :)
The wall that Anouk's desk sits on is a nice pop of sky blue against which the white desk, floating shelf, and chair look crisp and cool.
What dorm (in the U.S. or abroad) is complete without the ambiance of string lights? I also love the little square floating shelves hung on the wall.
A scarf/belt hanger keeps Anouk's favorite necklaces and sunnies within easy reach.
Like myself, Anouk cannot live without her Rimmel Match Perfection foundation (it smells so good!) and Burberry perfume (also smells so good).
I have to say that Anouk's Netherlands dorm is nicer than any dorm room I've called home here in the states. What's your favorite part of her bright, lovely space?
