Want to decorate like a tv or movie character? I'm taking requests!

Decorating inspiration can come from many sources. Television shows and movies are two of my favorites. :) The TV and Film Lookalike Decor features provide that onscreen inspiration from your favorite characters. So far, I've covered:

New Girl: Jess & the Guys Big Bang Theory: Penny 2 Broke Girls: Max & Caroline What's Your Number?: Ally Darling Pretty Little Liars: Alison, Aria, Emily, Hanna, Spencer Gossip Girl: Serena, Blair Vampire Diaries: Elena Underworld: Selene Atonement: Cecilia & Briony

I get a lot of requests for additional lookalike tv and film spaces... via comments, email, Facebook, Twitter, etc. But it's easy for comments to get buried, emails to get lost, and social media notifications to get overlooked. I know there have been some awesome suggestions, but I just can't remember and keep track of them all.

So I'm simplifying the process. Forget the comments / emails / social media. If there's a tv or movie character whose decorating is just soooo lovely that you want to copy it in your space, just fill out the form below "tv + film lookalike decor" down the right-hand side of the blog.  The form is also embedded in this post and will soon be added to all former lookalike decor posts, too.

Please - even if you already submitted a suggestion to me once upon a time and heard back - submit your request in the form so that I can put it on my to-do list. :)

Hi I would like to see
Elena Michael's room at the Stonehaven manor starring Laura Vandervoort
Cassie Blake's room at her Grandmother's house in The Secret Circle starring Britt Robertson
and I know you already have this one requested but I really want to see it Elena's room on The Vampire Diaries but I'd also like to see The Salvatore brothers manor

For some reason I've become obsessed with white rooms.

DIY Cat Barrier for Under $100 (See-Through, Climb-Proof, and Too-Tall-To-Jump)

ICYMI: I gave up Cotton after deciding that after trying so many things, my two adopted cats Dahlia and Cotton were just never going to get along. Long story short: I missed her. And Cotton's back. And Dahlia's not going anywhere. My heart is big enough to keep trying. And my apartment is big enough that if I need to keep them separated long term (or permanently), it can be done. I'm going to write-up a separate post about some of the solutions I've tried, how they worked, who they worked on, and what I'll be trying next. But in this post, I wanted to share the main 'piece de resistance' of having both cats in my apartment: an un-climbable, un-jumpable, see-through barrier to separate Cotton and Dahlia .

Penny's Apartment | Big Bang Theory

Aniela, a lovely reader from Germany, sent me an email requesting advice on recreating the style of Penny's apartment on Big Bang Theory.

Blair's Room | Gossip Girl Decor

Manhattan's debutante Blair Waldorf happens to be my favorite Gossip Girl character.  Her behavior and feelings vary from snobbish to sensitive, but she always (except for a few rare occasions) looks and acts totally pulled together.  Her luxurious bedroom is fit for a queen---and is as pulled together as her preppy fashion ensembles.
